Mission and Vision
What is Greenstone?
Community Futures Greenstone is an initiative of the federal government, specifically the Community Futures Program. This program allows communities in need to be the designers, leaders and directors in solving long term community concerns. The program gives communities the tools they require to address these problems and helps them plan a coordinated response to the demands of the changing economy.
Greenstone Mission Statement
Through the provision of financial, technical and planning assistance, Greenstone assists the communities in the region to maintain and diversify the economic base.
The strength of the area lies in each Community and the ambitions of its people. The local community must take a leading role in the planning process which precedes economic development.

Today, Hudbay is a Canadian integrated mining company with operations, development properties and exploration activities across the Americas principally focused on the discovery, production and marketing of base and precious metals.
